The Heaphy Track (http://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/tracks-and-walks/nelson-tasman/golden-bay/heaphy-track/) is a “Great Walk” located in the NW of the South Island. About 200 sandfly/mosquito bites and my left calf felt disconnected from my knee(still sore almost a week later…). The weather wasn’t very photo friendly, but, great exercise. The majority of the photos are from my campsite the 2nd night, where the Heaphy River meets the Tasman Sea. Absolutely stunning.
